STORY
The journey began with Utkarsh’s aspiration to contribute to society by joining the army, which couldn’t be possible due to his eyesight. He then made the decision to study manufacturing of weapons in an effort to support the Indian Defense Systems, but corona restrictions prevented him from travelling abroad to pursue his education. Then started the path towards the creation of Jvapa as he realised that he didn’t necessarily need to rely on the defence sector to have an impact on the development of the country.
He, along with his friends, Himanshu, Rishav and sister Shreeya, decided to make something out of the locally available resources and manufacture unique products to cater to the masses and promote Indian farmers. The team came across rice straw and husk which could be used to make pellets as an eco-friendly fuel alternative, with further research they found many more rice made products which weren’t as common in India as abroad. This gave rise to the notion of producing rice-based goods and to market them both domestically and internationally.
JVAPA symbolises the panchtatva. The word ‘panchatatva’ originates from Sanskrit, where “panch” stands for five and “tatva” indicates elements. Following the universal law of life, everything on this planet is composed of five basic elements or the “panchamahabhutas”. These are: Jal (Water), Vayu (Air), Agni (Fire), Prithvi(Earth) and Akash (Sky or Space).
Jvapa is a means to create goods that enhance the value of India’s rice exports, making India a top supplier of high-end rice goods while simultaneously supporting Indian farmers.
